Hi Friend!

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the many options that exist today when deciding between different nutritional  programs? There are so many schools of thought out there! How do you know if you should follow a vegan lifestyle, a vegetarian lifestyle, go dairy free, gluten free, or paleo….and the list goes on and on.  I have always been very health conscious and enjoyed reading and learning all the latest about anything health related. I love being a student and will be a student for life, but boy can this information be overwhelming.

It was about 10 years ago, that I made a personal decision to cut out processed foods in my home. Cutting back processed foods made a HUGE difference in how I felt and my overall health. Here is a starting point for you if you would like to see what my typical grocery list looks like Grocery List. As a general rule, I try to consume as many greens and vegetables with every meal. I typically add a lean protein, especially when consuming carbohydrates, and with most meals,  I love to include a healthy fat like EVO, coconut oil, avocado oil or grass-fed ghee. I choose organic ingredients whenever possible and that is basically the very short version of the lifestyle I have chosen to follow.

What I have quickly come to realize over the years is that our food today isn’t as nutritionally dense as it once was. And, even with all of the healthy choices that I make on a daily basis, I value and regard daily supplementation as a must.  Whereas, 75 years ago supplementation was considered a luxury, today with our very depleted soils, GMO’s, herbicides, pesticides, and other factors, supplementation is a MUST in my humble opinion. I personally supplement with this 30 day system.
